I am delighted to announce that The Shaun Barker Foundation will be teaming up with EDEN TYRE SALES LTD. We feel very fortunate that Eden Tyres have chosen the Foundation as their charity of choice.

ETS is a family business established on Derby’s Upperdale Road back in 1981 and is run by the second generation of Eden’s. Since then, ETS has grown to 10 retail branches across the East Midlands as well as a dedicated wholesale site delivering tyres to the trade across much of the UK.

I met Matt Eden, Co-Managing Director of ETS, as the Foundation launch night at The Quad in Derby a few months ago. After chatting with Matt for a few minutes it was very clear that Matt and his business are as eager as us to give back to the City of Derby and its local communities.

With every person I meet it is becoming more and more apparent that people want to fundraise to help their local areas – something which is not always possible with national charities. The money raised by the Foundation goes directly to supporting projects in the Derbyshire area.

Matt’s eagerness to give back to the community has already seen ETS arrange various projects such as the ETS Football Festival – an event organised in partnership with Continental Tyres held at the FA’s National Football Centre at St. George’s Park where 16 Derby-based U11’s teams compete in a football tournament.

Both the Foundation and ETS are already in discussions about future events and we look forward to announcing these projects in the future

Having an array of different businesses and passionate individuals within the City is imperative for the development of the Foundation. To have an established local business such as ETS working on our side is a huge boost for us.

I would like to thank all of those involved in creating this partnerships and I look forward to seeing the exciting events and projects that we can create together
