Charities only survive through the kind work, generous donations and selfless acts of those that want to make a difference. Since I started The Shaun Barker Foundation I’ve been overwhelmed with how many businesses and individuals want to provide those opportunities to help us flourish. CHARITY BILL is a perfect example.

I met Stuart not long after I released the Foundation and he was quick to contact me to show and offer his support. At he time he was running Restaurant Zest and wanted to help by offering Zest customers the opportunity to add £1 to their bill. Through their loyal customers we received over £400 after only 3 months from Zest for the Foundation, which is an amazing amount.

After these fantastic three months Restaurant Zest moved across town to Saddler Gate and Stuart left his position I must say I feared this would be the end of the restaurant donations but to my delight Stuart went above and beyond and spoke to many more restaurants to see if they too wanted to get involved in a similar scheme; and the CHARITY BILL scheme was set in motion and now we have even more well established and respected restaurants from around the city on board.

I would like to thank all of the restaurants offering their help, all of their loyal customers that have agreed to add the £1 on their bill and of course Stuart who put all of this in place. I believe the money raised will make a huge difference to many in the city and I’ll look forward to letting you all know just exactly how you’ve helped.
