This is my site. I play football and have written this thing that you see above this box. There are likely to be typos cos I'm a footballer

    Hi Shaun
I have watched the Rams for over 50 years and I have really enjoyed reading about your rehab, and understanding a little more about what you have been going through. Thank you for being so open. I will be very emotional when you reappear in the first team for the first time.
How does being so badly injured affect your family – your wife especially but also others, including friends? And how have you dealt with the set backs? Have you had any psychological help to overcome the inevitable periods of doubt? How did the change of management affect you – it must have been difficult given Nigel’s personal commitment to you? (You don’t have to answer that question!)
    Good luck.

Hi Oliver thanks for the message. Its been a tough few seasons of course, but Ive had so many people supporting me throughout. My wife has probably had the worst of it all regarding having to do so much for me while Ive been off my feet. I have to say the club and management have been great so far and understand its an injury that is impossible to rush as it was so bad. Many would struggle to walk properly after such an injury but within the next few weeks ill be jogging on the pitch once again!!
Ive tried to be as honest as possible throughout and hope that people realise I’m doing everything physically possible to return for The Rams as soon as possible.
Keep an eye on the site over the next few months to check out my progress and also charity events Ive got coming up.
      Regards
      Barks
